Format & Rules

Prizes and Entry Fee:

• Entry fee will usually be $5 but may vary on time control.
• Prizes will usually be 100% of the total revenue on paid entries.
• Prizes and entry fee will be sent via paypal. 
• Prizes vary on entries and I will make clearer class and place prizes when we get more people.
• Once you register, you must join the SOB Playing Room club where tournaments are conducted. 
• Titled plays play free, but if they win a prize then the entry fee is deducted from the prize. 

Format:

• Time control and rounds will vary from event to event.
• Games will be played on chess.com, I may also start holding lichess tournaments if there is large demand for it. 
• Tournaments will be in swiss format, I also may do arenas if there is large demand for them. 

Cheating & Sandbagging: 

• Anyone suspected of sandbagging will not be eligible for class prizes. I will check everyone for possible sandbagging. 
• For the most part, we will follow chess.com's verdict on cheaters, however I reserve the right to kick and hold prizes from people that are determined to be cheaters by me. I will be conservative when finding cheaters but if it is just too obvious to me you will be reported and kicked from the club.
• All games are subject to engine analysis by myself as a fair play check.
