Free Live Chess Classes With Chess University!
Dear Chess Friends,
It's not Christmas yet, but Chess University is pleased to present you with two completely free live online chess seminars this December. They are intended for different rating levels, but everybody is free to choose one, or even attend both.
SEMINAR 1
Date: Saturday, December 16th, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Pacific Time
Target audience rating level: 1500-2000 Elo (advanced and expert)
Lecturer: FM Arne Jochens, Director of Content at Chess University
Topic: Understanding the Isolated Queen's Pawn Structure
SEMINAR 2
Date: Saturday, December 16th, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Pacific Time
Target audience rating level: 900-1500 Elo (beginner and intermediate)
Lecturer: FM Dalton Perrine, Director of Instruction at Chess University
Topic: Understanding the Importance of Forcing Moves
Each seminar will consist of a 40 minute lecture followed by about 20 minutes of questions and answers about the lecture and related topics. The lecturers are both FIDE masters and experienced coaches who regularly teach in Chess University's renown Prodigy Program. Students will be able to ask questions at any time during the live seminars by using one of the chat options given below.
HOW TO ATTEND
Students can choose one of the following options.
1. To attend via Twitch, visit: https://www.twitch.tv/chessuniversity and type a short message in the chat box. Once a box pops up, you will have the choice to log in or sign up. If you have a Twitch.tv username go ahead and sign in. If you do not, click on “sign up”, follow the instructions and then register an account. Now, you will be able to use the Twitch chat box.
2. To attend via Youtube, visit: https://www.youtube.com/c/ChessUniversity/live and click below the chat box. You will be prompted to sign in with your Google account. If you don't have one, you can click on "Further options", then "Create account" and follow the instructions. Now, you will be able to use the Youtube chat box.
