Group 3 Pairings (Under 1200)
THESE ARE THE PAIRINGS FOR THE 3RD GROUP OF THE CHESS PROS CHAMPIONSHIP. REMEMBER, THE TIME CONTROL FOR THIS TOURNAMENT IS 3 DAYS PER MOVE. THE WINNER OF THIS SECTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE PLACED IN GROUP 2 FOR THE NEXT TOURNAMENT.
Guidelines for Starting Games:
1. To start a game, go to your "Online Chess" page, then click the button on the sidebar on the right side of the screen that says "Start New Game". Then click the section of the above box on the page you reach that is labeled "Member". Then type in the name of the Chess Pros member you are challenging.
2. For each of your opponents, you will play TWO games against them, one with white and one with black. You will ONLY challenge your opponents for the games that you are WHITE in. Your opponent will challenge you for the games in which YOU are BLACK.
3. If your opponent has failed to accept your match challenge or send you a match challenge (see guideline #2), please post in the "Match Problems" forum the opponent with which you have a problem with, including which color you are supposed to play in that game. This forum will appear on March 1st, the day on which all games are supposed to be started.
4. When challenging your opponent, please name the game "Chess Pros Championship" or something similar to that (thank you walt2013) so that your opponent knows that this game is for this tournament. It also makes it easier for us, the admins.
5. Once your game has started, post the link of your game in a forum called "Match Links". This will allow us to connect your game to the pairings to ensure that all games have been started. You will need to do this for ALL of your games. Games that have not been reported at the correct deadline will be double-forfeited.
