Hikaru/Botez/Rozman/Ostrovskiy Collab Next Wednesday Afternoon, World 4 Player Chess Championships, and More Titled appearances!
Many major titled chess personalities made an appearance to 4 player chess again this week, and at 4:00 p.m Easter Standard Time / 1:00 p.m. next Wednesday, July 8, 2020, four major streamers and chess players, GM Hikaru Nakamura ( @hikaru https://www.twitch.tv/GMHikaru ), IM Levy Rozman ( @gothamchess https://www.twitch.tv/gothamchess ), WFM Alexandra Botez ( @alexandrabotez https://www.twitch.tv/BotezLive ), and IM Aleksandr Ostrovskiy ( @Manbunovich https://www.twitch.tv/manbunovich ) will be collaborating in a 4 player chess battle! World 4 Player Chess Championships (W4PCC)
Solo Antichess:
Lars Johan Brodtkorb ( @icystun ), a reigning World Champion of both Solo and Teams has once again returned to yet another final! Joining him will be four-time W4PCC qualifier @a1t19 , and two other antichess experts, @7R0N1C and @viloski . The finals of the Solo Antichess W4PCC are provisionally set to take place on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 17:00 UTC. More details about commentary for chesstv and prizes will be released once the date of the final is confirmed. Teams:
The qualifiers of the World 4 Player Chess Championship of Teams will take place on the weekends of August 1-2, 2020 and August 8-9, 2020. More details will be released on a new forum and news article soon once confirmed. Two-hour practice tournaments for this event will be provided during the next two weekends, July 4-5, 2020 and July 11-12, 2020 which can be found on the Arenas tab. Winners of these events do not automatically qualify for the Championship but the performance of the winners may determine the schedule of the Championship itself.

WFM Lile Koridze ( @LileKoridze , https://www.twitch.tv/lilekoridze ) , WFM Alessia Santeramo ( @AlessiaSanteramo , https://www.twitch.tv/alessiasanteramo ) , and WFM Anna Cramling ( @AnnaCramling , https://www.twitch.tv/annacramling ) were seen trying out 4 player chess this week in a collaboration. Koridze and Santanero each collaborated with Tom Merrall, an expert of 4 player chess ( @tommerrall949 , https://www.twitch.tv/fourplayerchess ).
The list of titled players who have returned and tried the game is without limits and has been constantly growing this month. IM Levy Rozman continues to play 4 player chess frequently, inspires many viewers to play 4 player chess, and has collaborated with IM Aleksandr Ostrovskiy to play many well-played Teams games this week. FM / WIM Anna-Maja Kazarian ( @annamaja7 , https://www.twitch.tv/annamaja ) was seen commentating on a W4PCC Antichess Championship Preliminary and has inspired the chess community to enjoy 4 player chess through the games she has been streaming as well.
