HIKARU'S SECOND ANNUAL CHESS 4 THE MASSES Sponsored by Kick
Have you ever wanted to win prizes like the big boys who took home over $100k in the Esports World Cup? Well, this won't be that day either but I am running another Kick sponsored event and everyone can play!
The Chess Mafia cordially invites ALL players, titled and untitled, to enter CHESS 4 THE MASSES. 
Format: Two tournaments in one afternoon with a cumulative ranked score for winners. The first one is a 13 round swiss of 3 0 blitz. The next tournament will be a 90 minute 3 2 arena based on ratings, like Arena Kings. Success is based on your ranking in each tournament (not total points) and your category slot will align with your final rating AFTER both events. Players must participate in the Swiss and the Arena to qualify for prizes.
There will be with 5 categories for prizes (based on ending ratings) and each category will have $1020 in prizes. $250 $200 $150 $75 $50 $25 for highest number of promoted knights $25 for first smothered mate in the rating category $25 for the first win with a bongcloud opening $100 for the best clip for each rating category posted on x, Instagram or TikTok - Hikaru judges that.
Prize Sections: ENDING RATINGS: Over 2900 2500-2899 2000-2499 1500-1999 Under 1499 
Fairplay Rules: No account under 3 months old and it must have a substantial amount of blitz games. No new accounts, no sharing, no "this is my brother's account I borrowed", no obvious sandbaggers, highly suspicious results will be kicked from the tournament and their prize slots negated. Chess.com and Team Hikaru will have final say.

A few adjustments have been made to make sure this is user friendly. The swiss will have 2 breaks like Titled Tuesday, the breaks will be communicated in tournament chat but we'll have that info in the stream and the Arena will be moved up to 5pm Eastern which should be about 20 minutes after the Swiss so you can grab a bite and some coffee. As such, we will have a new Arena link that will be in chat, in the swiss tournament chat, in stream, on twitter, everywhere we can post it, we will. Thanks and good luck!!
