How can we all help our Club to become better?
Dear Members!
Some of you might have noticed that I have been trying to boost the activity level in our Club for quite some time... But I don't think that I was very successful in that.
In the past 365 days, we have finished 8 Daily Matches: 3 were won, 4 were lost and 1 was a draw. Of those Daily Matches that were lost, these two, https://www.chess.com/club/matches/union-of-elite-and-warriors/1445895 and https://www.chess.com/club/matches/club-of-numbers/1538555 were close calls; we lost 4 games due to inactivity, on time!
In that period, we played two Vote Chess games. We discussed a lot and we won both of them, but in the last games we could have lost due to inactivity - for one of our moves, there was only one vote!
Outside those Vote Chess games, we communicate only sparsely - there are too few comments in Notes and our Forums are completely frozen...
It seems that the time has come for a change!
I became the owner of this Club out of the blue when @Magnus-GOAT, the original owner was banned in July 2021 and her account was closed. I did not have as much time as @Magnus-GOAT had to do the administrative tasks... In those days @Nightwish85 helped me a lot to keep this Club alive along with his long-time friend @Tamtaramtamtam. Unfortunately, both of them abandoned their account in early 2022 and we never heard what happened to them. I sincerely hope that both of them are OK...
@Nightwish85 and I have written Private Messages to a great number of you, dear Members, who play regularly in Daily Matches and Vote Chess games, asking you to become Admins. I am thankful to @jetoba and @Judplam00 who accepted the role, but besides them, no one else showed interest in doing administrative tasks...
This is a call to all of you who play regularly for this Club to step out and become an Admin!!!
Last, but not least if you think that I do not deserve to be the owner of this Club, I am more than willing to step down and pass the ownership to someone who deserves it!
