How to Play in Critical Positions
Dear Chess Friends!
This Sunday I will conduct the webinar called "How to Play in Critical Positions," designed to enhance your chess strategy and decision-making skills. We will explore what constitutes a critical chess position — a moment in the game where a specific decision must be made. We will discuss various scenarios, such as initiating combinations, navigating forced variations, making crucial exchanges, and deciding on important pawn moves or castling.
🗓 Date: 07/07
⏰ Time: 11 a.m. EDT, 4 p.m. UK time, 5 p.m. CET
What You Will Learn:
- Recognizing critical positions: Identifying when the forces come into contact, when there is a material or positional imbalance, and how to address or exploit these situations.
- Decision-making strategies: Learning to minimize choices and make decisive moves in critical moments.
- Practical examples: Analyzing real game scenarios where critical decisions significantly impacted the outcome.
- Experience and patterns: Understanding the importance of experience and recognizing patterns that guide actions in specific positions.
- Calculating variations: Accurate calculation of options and correct assessment of emerging positions.
In the end you will gain a deeper understanding of how to approach critical positions with confidence, improving your overall gameplay and strategic thinking.
The webinar will be interactive, so we start with theoretical explanation about the topic, and then move into practice. You will also have an opportunity to play a Simul with me from a certain position. Finally, to consolidate the material, we will analyze several games that we played.
