One-arrow shares his article that is featured on the cover this month's Chess Life. Here is what Chess Life has to say about it:
The following is our June 2014 Chess Lifecover story. Normally this would be behind our pay wall, but we feel this article about combating cheating in chess carries international importance.
This subject has profound implications for the tournament scene so we are making it available to all who are interested in fighting the good fight.

Dan's Corner
NM Dan Heisman
A game against the recently deceased USCF Expert Don Latzel. Couldn't say a bad thing about Don even if I tried; he was always pleasant and smiling and had a big as hand as any at making me a good player. We'll miss you, Don.
Puzzles of the Month

Aim for Mate!
This month, our positions are direct. No fuss, no distractions or sidetracks, it's aim for mate. That is the aim of the game after all, and in the positions to follow it can be quite a spectacular road.
As usual, and I hope that you agree with me on this, we'll start with a relatively simple puzzle. First a threat that can be met but then follow with another but much stronger one. It is white to play.
Next it is black to play and mate in 3 moves. Be direct and bold.
Here is another matiing attack that seemingly comes out of thin air. It is white to play.
I dug out some of my old Informants the other day and here are a few more positions from them.
Black to play this time. It is white's king that is in danger here, his army is effectively cut into two and black's pieces are is ready to pounce. See if you can find the road to mate.
From the Indian Championship of 1991, here is another castled but poorly defended king meeting his end. It is white to play.
Finally this month, we see a couple of menacing knights. Put them to good use.
And that's it from me for another month. Hope you enjoyed that selection. See you next month.
In the next few months, I would like to put together some selections of puzzles from DHLC games. So if anyone out there has played a combination that they feel is worthy of being included in our monthly puzzles, why not send me a copy of the game (or a link to the game)? I know that a lot of you have done just that; here is your chance to share with the rest of the DHLC. Any game will be considered as long as it has been played in DHLC.
