KELLBELL CRASHES WARPATH'S PARTY

Last night Kellbell2385
 stormed into the post-game  press conference while Warpathhunter aka Mr. Mogul
 continued to  pontificate about how he was going to bring his rating up. The 5 time Women's LC champ then proceeded to unload an epic vituperation upon him!  The altercation apparently stems from an exchange that the two had while playing their second game of the tournament.  During the end of their second game where Warpathhunter seemed to have good position on her, he felt comfortable enough to tell Kellbell "I'm sorry Kellbelle I learned my lesson from the last game played you will not win this one.  You could have the dignity to lose or the dignity to resign.... your choice." Warpath was alluding to the epic faux paus by him when he missed a mate in two moves against Kellbell on move 26 in game 1!!!( Chess: Kellbell2385 vs warpathhunter - 457550109 - Chess.com )

Warpathhunter played 26...Qg3+ but the dagger would have been26... Rh2+ which forces an eventual checkmate! Kellbell took advantage of the gaffe and went on to come back and win game 1 in 48 moves!

  Kellbell took acception to what Warpathhunter told her during the end of game 2 as she responded with "Chess is supposed to be a game of class.  Do you think you are the first 'man' to message me and remind me that he is king?  Way to set that bar.  Am I really supposed to take direction from YOU on dignity after you found it appropriate to send me this message?  I'll take the L.... I know you need the W for your game and for all that dignity.  I told Eledef my only goal was to beat you.... and if I couldn't beat you then I'm just not a worthy chess player and I was retiring.  So, it's been real.... Deuces!"  A couple of moves later Warpathhunter completed their second game swinging his Queen all the way down the diagonal from the a1 square to the h8 square for a nice checkmate in 18 moves!   When the game was over Warpathhunter extended his hand to say good game, but Kellbell rolled her eyes and immediately got up from her seat and left the tournament hall looking visibly offended.  After the comical slight, Warpath made his way into the post-game press conference room to answer questions.  Looking quite dapper in his all white suite conjuring memories of Kingpin from the Marvel comic books he answered his first question which was a question about how he felt he performed in the game against Kellbell2385.  " I had just one more game to win but my win against Kellbell put me up about maybe 915 to 920 in rating.  Then I'll breeze through the three digit tournament or who knows I might not even do the three-digit tournament I might just go and play another tournament where I can beat people that are ahead of me so I get over a thousand or more and then I can be in the right big leagues as Ydtd has said."

SUDDENLY the doors of the press conference room were pushed open, and a gust of wind blew in!!!    A bright light was beaming in through the doors with a silhouetted figure standing in the middle of that light.  The silhouetted figure strode forward and as it approached everyone in the room could make out who it was.  It was Kellbell2385 herself!  Every reporter in the room was mystified by her entrance.  She seemed like a woman on a mission as her gazed was fixed upon the microphone at the front of the room on the stage.  Warpathhunter to his credit did acknowledge her.  "Welcome Kellbell"  Warpathhunter then went back to his description of the game he just played against her.  "The first match I was not paying attention I had a won game."  By this time Kellbell had reached the stage and grabbed her mic tightly and responded "What, the split? Ummm congrats on our wins man"

"Thank you, my mistake the first match is your win."

Kellbell then said....

"Regarding your statement the first match I was not paying attention I had a won game, it's so much more admirable when one can simply say they didn't bring their A game and carry on gracefully."

"Ok I did not bring my A game in the first match, but the second game i brought my A+ game"

Warpath then proceeded uninterrupted for the next 10 minutes to explain how he needed to get out of the triple digits and how he is studying to achieve this goal when Kellbell visibly frustrated interrupted and finally said " HEY MR A+.  I'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO A PRESS CONFERENCE, AFTER A GAME I USUALLY GO HOME TO MY LOVELY HOME IN OKLAHOMA AND ENJOY MY FAMILY AND MY CUTE DOGS BUT YOUVE BEEN DROPPING MY NAME AND RAMBLING ABOUT YOUR GROWING ELITISM IN THE CHESSS COMMUNITY.  Like congratulations....youre a 900 rated player who beat a 1000 rated player.  You're the king of the lower-level players who peaked years ago..womp womp!  We both suck.  But to personally tell me you'll let me 'pick my dignity', that i can either lose with dignity or resign with dignity is wild.  The only reason I didn't resign is because I've seen you choke in positions that were even more perfectly laid out for you."  There was a faint chuckle in the crowd of reporters after that comment.

" I always win with dignity, and I always lose with dignity.  you don't do either.  But you get "em Tiger!!  I'm certain the big guns up top are shaking in their boots."

And with that Kellbell literally dropped the mic and peremptorily left the post-game press conference room.

Warpath swiftly grabbed his mic and responded " Hold up Eledef07 let me answer to Kellbell's statement about my elitism, let's not go there.  I'm not elite, if I was Ydtd would not be king of these tournaments.  So, I would refrain from you saying I'm an elitist which I'm not!  Its just trash talk I'm sorry you feel that way didn't mean to make you feel lower than me or make you feel that you had to say that I was an elitist I'm far from it.  The next person to lose to me and no I'm not being an elitist I just have a three-point advantage but that's three points I know I can drop I just have to figure out how to beat Dlh7075.

After talking to reporters for another hour Warpathhunter left the room jumped in his limo and made his way back to Yonkers.  In closing, similar to the Rockdorne
 situation I think it would be a shame for Kellbell2385 to retire after this performance.  She's been an absolute pleasure to have in this club and she's accomplished a lot not only as a player ( 5 time Women's LC champ and One time LC women's player of the year) but can be an inspiration to more female chess players.  I certainly hope she reconsiders.  I enjoy and appreciate Warpathrich's gumption and participation, but he will have to also practice humility especially with opponents who are not into trash talking.  A great comedian once said know your audience.  You can talk that junk to Ydtd, Juanitamann, Gstrong100 or a Slamm20 but that same rhetoric won't go over well with a Kellbell2385 or a Dlh7075.   This chess club has a motley crew of characters and personlities that I love and appreciate.  I dont want to lose anyone, let's continue to prosper guys!
