Kids & Amateurs #8 and Pawn Storm #15

Join the Sacramento Pawns club once again this Saturday for a pair of Covid-safe chess tournaments.  The Kids & Amateurs, for those under 1400 in Chess.com rapid rating, starts at 1:30 PM. Everyone can participate in the Pawn Storm, our biggest weekly event, beginning at 3:00 PM. Call your friends and advise them to stay indoors and play chess during the Pawn Storm.

Note: The Kids & Amateurs has suffered from decreased interest during the summer. The tournament requires a minimum of 4 players for three rounds and 8 players for four rounds.

Sac Kids & Amateurs #8 (again)

When: Saturday, July 11 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM
Who: Open to club members under 1400 Chess.com rapid rating
Format: FOUR (4) ROUND Swiss in one section

When: Saturday, July 11 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM
Who: Open to all club members regardless of rating
Format: FIVE (5) ROUND Swiss in one section

Where: Live Server under the Tournaments tab at the upper right 
Time control: G/10 + 3 second increment 
Minimum: Need at least 4 players to avoid automatic cancellation 
USCF Rated: No  
Entry: Free 
Prizes: Glory and Chess.com rating points
