Sunday Weekly News 3/18/2018 I Learning from the 39th Annual chess.com Tourney
This tourney has been rather interesting for me this past year as I have learned many new things and having made many mistakes. I wish to touch on some of my games this month as I have tried to make myself a better chess player. If you are currently a 1500 or higher this article may not be beneficial for you but for the others sake of the other FightKnight members who have not managed to reach that level of expertise I will be showing some of my games as demonstrations as what not to do in a situation like mine.
Forgive me for any spelling errors.
Yes, I said that I would show some losses that I had and that clearly was a win but I thought it was a good example of taking squares that your opponent gives you for free.
A good thing to know. If your opponent makes a threat, first look to make an even larger threat. Such as shown with Bd3.
Now to the game I lost. I could not find the game were I had lost due to real mistakes but You will see what I mean in this analysis.
I hope that I will be able to find that other game were I lost a very inportant game due to large blunders like this but I sugest you take away from inportant things away from this.
Try to play as agressive as possible. If you see a good defending move, find a greater threat!
Pay close attention to your pawn structure, many of my passive moves played in my games caused me to find myself cramped, and it had to do with pawn structure!
Find all the weaknesses you can before you ever move a pawn! If it is the opening then maybe you don't need to be so critical but always have a watchful eye towards it.
I hope I will be able to find that game and will surply post it when I do, and thanks for reading.
