Lest You Forget, You Are Nothing Without Him

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Often we forget how much God has done for us and we become subtly proud in our own ways.

I know that Satan often works in subtle ways, so let's beware of what we allow into our lives that will destroy our testimony and communion with God.

I often slowly become proud because I get to do special things or because of my abilities, and I forget that God is the One who has given me these things and blessed me with these abilities.

Right now, a lot of us are struggling to pay our bills and provide for our families. During these times, our minds are often distracted from thinking about God and instead we are more focused on thinking of ways to earn money and make sure our families have enough to eat. These things are very important. The Bible says that those who do not provide for their families are accursed. We also have to remember that God will always provide for us. We may not be living the luxurious life we dreamed of, but God always provides for His own. So, we need to make time to thank Him and glorify Him for the ways in which He has always been there for us. We may not always feel like praising Him, but make the effort. It will be worth it, and I can guarantee that in the end you will feel better that you gave God the glory. It is what we were made to do. It is our purpose.
