Let’s Invite More Friends! ☕♟️
Hi Everyone!
I wanted to take a moment to reach out and share some thoughts on where we are and where we’re going. First and foremost, I want to say a huge thank you to each of you. Whether you’ve been here since day one or joined us just last week, you are the reason this club exists.
I’ve always believed that Chess.com can be more than just a place to calculate moves and check ratings. It can be a place to find genuine connection. Our vision for U-Knighted Chessmasters has always been clear: We are a community of friends who happen to play chess. We aren’t just looking for high ratings or tournament trophies; we are looking for great people who make the game more enjoyable.
Why Growth Matters to Us
As we grow, the "social heart" of our club beats faster. More members mean more people to chat with in the forums, more diverse perspectives in our discussions, and more friendly faces to play unrated games with. We want to ensure that whenever you log in, there’s a friend online waiting to say hello.
How You Can Help Build Our Family
We don’t want to grow through random bots or spam; we want to grow through you. You are the best judges of who would fit in here. We are looking for members who are:
Kind and respectful in the chat.
Supportive of players at all skill levels.
Looking for a "chill" environment rather than a high-pressure competitive one.
How to Send Your Personal Invites:
The best way to help is to use your daily invite slots. It only takes a minute, but it makes a huge difference:
Navigate to our Club Home Page.
Locate the "Invite Member" button on the right-hand sidebar.
Think of three groups:
Recent Opponents: Did you just have a fun game with someone who said "Good Game" and was polite? Invite them!
Friends List: Do you have buddies on the site who aren't in a club yet? Bring them home to us!
Club Seekers: If you see someone in the main site forums looking for a friendly group, send them our way.
Important Note on Ethics:
As we invite new friends, let’s remember to stay classy. Please avoid "cold-spamming" people who have no interest, and never post our link in other clubs' private spaces. We want to be known as the most welcoming club on the site, not the loudest!
A Final Thought
You can send up to 30 invites every 24 hours. Imagine if even five of us invited five friendly people today—we would have a whole new group of friends to talk to by tomorrow morning!
Let’s make this week about reaching out and welcoming new faces into our circle. If you have any ideas on how we can make our chat or forums even more welcoming, my inbox is always open.
Thank you for being the heart and soul of this club!
