Magnum Opus - We're back

Greetings, old friends,

We’re delighted to announce that Magnum Opus is back.

For those who may have joined along the way, a reminder of our origin story:

Magnum Opus was founded by DavidMc98, Asurat and myself with a simple but ambitious vision: to rally great men from across the globe under a common flag and a common purpose.

The purpose was obvious, the love of the game, but the flag and the name carried deeper meaning, chosen for their symbolic and heraldic weight. We set out to build a brotherhood, not just a club.

And for a time, we did exactly that. Magnum Opus grew into a thriving force, taking on elite institutions across chess.com, from the Pawns Club to the Battersea Chess Club. Life and personal commitments meant the club had to rest for a while, but not forever.

Today, I’m delighted to declare that we’re back, and in true Magnum Opus fashion, our first match will be against our friends and rivals at the Pawns Club.
