Hello everyone here's the first The Isle of Man Newsround, I am hoping to make this a monthly feature, just to give you an update on progress in the competitions we are in etc
It is looking like the top 2 in this division will get promoted to Division 3 for the 2022 season. There is also talk of creating a Division 5 next season with the bottom 4 or 5 teams of this year’s Division 4A & B making up the bottom division. It is therefore important that we finis in the top half of the table, indications are we are well on track for that and with continued good performances possibly a step up to Division 3.
The games so far are going our way. With crushing defeats of both Cornwall and Nottinghamshire, the Isle of Man Juggernaut is powering past all opposition to push for that promotion to division 3. Keep it up the future looks bright. Hopefully Cefn Gwlad will be the next scalp, its early days but the Manx are 1 up already
R1 - Cornwall County 18-4 (WON)
R2 - Team Nottinghamshire 8-0 (WON)
R3 - Cefn Gwlad 1-0
We have done well in WCL at this early stage. We have recorded a default R1 victory over Drogheda , and a fine victories over Bordeaux 14.5-6.5 and against Sinop 10-4. We are also going well in R2 in a close match and we are just 1 point ahead of Shostka 10-9 (the winning line is 10.5). The R4 match vs Munster has only just started so to early to tell how it will go, but IoM trail 1-5.

R6 - Team Sinop 10-4 (WON)
We also have early successes in the ECL with victory over Karagandy 16.5-1.5, as well as R2 victory over Sinop 10-4. We are well ahead against Athens in R3 and need just 1.5 points to clinch the victory. The matches vs Sinop and Munster are joint WCL & ECL ties.
