This is one of the main lines to play in the Advanced variations of the Caro-Kann. It's a very sharp opening that leads to chances for both sides. It has been played amongst top-tier players and is a very dangerous opening.

As an e4 player you might acquire a very dangerous weapon to deal with the somewhat dull Caro-Kann. Or if you are a Caro-Kann player this is a line you must learn in order to be succesful in this opening.
