My chess scarf just broke the World Record!!!!

Hi club members!  

I am crocheting North America’s longest scarf to 500 feet. My scarf is about 492.20 feet long. Tonight, I just broke the initial official Guinness World Record for the longest crocheted scarf by an individual, which is 492.13 feet long (or 150 meters).  

Fun facts:

-The primary colors of the scarf is black and white, to represent the game of chess!  

-I started the scarf on November 19, 2019.  I broke the initial world record on February 8, 2024.  

That means it took me 1543 days to break the initial world record!

-The 200th and 201 yarn balls are blue to represent the ocean.  Take care of the ocean! 

-My last two yarn balls will be green to represent the earth.  Take care of the earth!
