Have you ever wondered what a discovered attack is , usually it’s when you do an unexpected attack on your opponent without them noticing it, it’s usually very natural, even some gms make this mistake. Ok after the explanation of it. Let me show u a real one! Can you find the discovered attack for white.

If you think you have found it, then that’s the position on the above picture. Now white is attacking the knight on the g5 square, but most importantly, you can see white is attacking the queen on g2 as well! In this position, white used a discovered attack on black, the only not losing material move for black is trading the queens, and then black knight will escape. But if not, and the black knight escapes first, then white will definitely win a free queen! Isn’t this attack useful? Ok let me give you a few more example!
