Nathaniel Heithoff Memorial & the 39th Colorado Springs City Chess Champion
Greetings,
The Colorado Springs Chess Club is testing a faster time control with the Nathaniel Heithoff Memorial (70d10). We had a Supporting Member whose schedule was not conducive with the ultra-slow time control (G/90+30 or turtle speed 🐢). We are hoping to lure him back with a slow, rated event that ends at a better hour for those who have an early start on Wednesdays. So, come try our new event and give the officers your feedback before we make the 2026 schedule.
Of course, we also offer faster games every Sunday night! And there is no commute either.
The November events have been posted for Sunday Night Chess on Chess.com! Blitz Arena at 6:15p & Rapid Swiss at 7:00p

Daniel Marmer has become the Colorado Springs 39th City Chess Champion!
This is his first time winning the title. He knocked off Mark McGough (left) in the final round to win every game and claim the crown.
