Bugatti has a new beast. The new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport was born as a more beastly variant of the supercar, although it is positioned one step below the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, the version of the Chiron from which it derives and which carved a niche in the annals of the history by signing a mark of 490,484 km/h. Like said model, this is a 'long tail' version of the conventional Chiron, that is, it adopts a bodywork stretched by 25 cm more at the rear to optimize its aerodynamic efficiency. Likewise, the diffuser, the air outlets and the rear wings have been retouched, honoring the Bugatti EB110 for this purpose.

At speeds above 420 km/h, a vehicle must offer sufficient downforce coupled with minimal drag

Aluminum wheels in a five-Y-spoke design are available only for the Chiron Super Sport, although the Chiron Pur Sport's even lighter magnesium wheels will also be offered as an option. Among all the modifications, the total weight of the car has been reduced by 23 kg.

1,600 hp and a redline at 7,100 rpm

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is the most powerful model in the Chiron range, with permission from the one-off Bugatti Centodieci. It boasts the 8.0-litre, four-turbocharged W16 engine, but it has been tuned to deliver 100hp more than the rest of the Chiron range and bring it up to 1,600hp total power and 1,600Nm from 2,000rpm. The red line, however, is marked at 7,100 rpm.

A propellant that is managed by the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, being able to go from 0 to 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds and do 0-300 km/h in 12.1 seconds, while from 0 to 400 km/h is 7% faster than the Chiron. The top speed of the production Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is 439 km/h.

To support such figures, Bugatti has tuned this model "specifically for high speeds". The steering systems and dampers create a firmer, more rigid connection to the vehicle from the driving feel, resulting in tighter steering for smoother steering movements, the brand says. It also mounts newly developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that have been optimized to offer greater stiffness and smoothness than the grip-optimized tires fitted to the Chiron Pur Sport, withstanding speeds of up to 500 km/h.

In the Chiron Super Sport, the driver can choose between four driving modes: EB, Handling, Autobahn and Top Speed

This Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, designed in the words of the brand "to reach maximum speed and, at the same time, completely embrace luxury", will also be of limited production: only 30 units will see the light and each one will cost a whopping €3.2 million. The first deliveries are planned for early 2022.
