Hey All,

As you've probably noticed, your homepage has changed a bit!

We wanted to make it easier for users, both new and old, to quickly get to our top features, and we noticed that with the old layout, users didn't have quick access to the things they do the most on the site.

We looked at our most popular features that are both fun and great for improving one's chess skills, and came up with the four sections at the top of the new homepage:

1. Play

It goes without saying that this is the most commonly used feature on Chess.com, and you can now start a seek with a single click from your home page using the top button in this section.

You can also click on New Game to see more options to play, or you can choose to play against a computer or a friend.

You can also see your league rank at the top, and clicking on it will lead you to your league's leaderboard.

2. Puzzles

This is one of the most fun ways to improve your game, and we highly encourage you to do at least one puzzle every day.

3. Lessons

Our catalog of lessons has something for everybody, and you can see your next lesson presented here.

4. Game Review

One of the best ways to get better is to review your games. The game review section will update to show the last game you played, and with one click you can start digging into the details of your play.

But wait, there's more!

You'll notice that certain widgets are missing from your homepage, namely friends, messages, and your profile preview.

These are now at the top of the page, along with a dropdown for your daily games, and a settings menu that links to the most commonly changed settings.

New Home Top Bar

On the left, you can click on your username to go straight to your profile, and you can see your flag, flair and verified icons here too.

On the right, each icon will open a menu if you hover hover it, and go to its respective page if you click on it.

The Friends icon will turn to green if you have friends online, and the messages and play icons with show if you have unread messages or it's your move in a daily game.

As always, please post your thoughts and feedback here, and we look forward to hearing from you.
