To counteract people that may potentially sabotage this club in Vote Chess games, we are introducing some rules to regulate Vote Chess games. These are designed to ensure the safety of vote chess games while maintaining inclusiveness.

DISCLAIMER: This only applies to vote chess! You won't get banned if you blunder in a live game; we do that all the time!

Rule 1: Don't resign unless we're clearly losing. Reasons for resigning may include imminent checkmate, a big material deficit, or we're in a position where we have to give up a lot of material. It is strongly encouraged to try your best! If you resign relatively early, please give an analysis as to why.

Rule 2: Don't offer a draw unless the game is headed that route. If a team is clearly winning, it's early in the game, or there's still winning chances for a team, do not offer a draw. Examples of offering a draw correctly may include endgames where neither side can make progress, positions such as King and Queen vs King and Queen, etc.

Rule 3: Don't troll by making a clearly terrible move. Examples include blundering a queen in one move. This does not include moves that lose to a tactic.

Rule 4: If you suggest an off-beat move, either analyze it yourself or wait until other people analyze it (If nobody is there, the rule doesn't apply) before voting. Breaking this rule is more forgiving, more chances are offered before a potential ban. This rule doesn't apply if it's an obvious move or a good move.

Rule Enforcement: To account for potential accidents, you will be given a warning when you break a rule. Repeated violation may result in a ban.

If you play Vote Chess normally, voting which move you like best, you should be fine! Bonus points for giving analysis.
