News Release: DHLC Partners With Two Other Slow Chess Clubs
Three "slow chess" clubs (Dan Heisman Learning Center, G30, and Slow Chess League) are joining together in an effort to promote slow chess here at chess.com. The info on these clubs are:
1. Dan Heisman Learning Center -- G/30+30 games (multiple per day)
2. G30 -- G/30+10 games (Mondays -- 11:05 am, and sometimes 8:05 pm)
3. Slow Chess League - G/45+45 games (Saturdays and Sundays - 12:30pm or 12:45pm)
4. Slow Chess League Facebook Group -- promoting slow time controls on multiple chess servers at G/45+45 & G/90+30 including multi-day tournaments
All clubs are supportive of slow chess play (generally G/30 or longer time controls), but each has chosen their own specialty time controls / formats to serve players -- none of us are in competition with each other. Our initial goals are to support and publicize each other, and to try to avoid scheduling tourneys that start at the same time.
We all encourage you to explore all the clubs, find the time controls you like, and play, play, play.
