Thanks to everyone for entering the Challengers event and I think we have a good range of players from those who have played at the Tithe Barn in recent years and those who play regularly in the Norfolk League OTB.Â

Tier 1 PlayersÂ
Players shown in yellow are the four highest rated players of 1600 and over. Tier 1 players will not need to play in the Preliminary Round and will be seeded in the Quarter-Finals i.e. so they aren't paired against each other in that round.
Tier 2 Players

Players shown in blue are the players rated under 1600 but over 1450 and will be randomly paired with a player from Tier 3 in the Preliminary Round.
Tier 3 PlayersÂ
Players shown in green are players rated 1450 and below and will be randomly paired with a player from Tier 2 in the Preliminary Round.
Anyone who loses in the Preliminary Round or the Quarter-Final will be eligible to play in a Plate competition. Hopefully all players will compete in the Plate competition. Any player losing in the Plate competition will be entered into a competition for Plate losers (I'll call it the Saucer). Provided there are no withdrawals this will guarantee that all entrants will have at least 3 games in the competition.
Random draws will be made from the Semi-Final stage onwards in both the main competition and Plate/Saucer (with the exception that you won't play the same player twice - unless both players make the Final of the lower competitions of course).
The intention is to publish the Preliminary Round draw on 01 January 2021.
Whilst this event can never replace OTB play, hopefully it will prove to be enjoyable and played in good spirit!
