North Sea Defense

This opening got its name long before Norwegian superstar Magnus Carlsen took it up in a game. It is a brash opening, sending the knight to the edge of the board. It has not found many followers yet, with most of the interest being confined to Scandinavia. The main test of this opening is a pawn sacrifice offered by Black that is usually declined.
