Signups are now open for our November League Qualifier and Tournament Series to begin on Monday, November 4, 2019.

New players for our Chess.com Swiss tournaments must begin by signing up for our League Qualifier tournament. To be eligible for the League Qualifier you must have been a Chess.com member for more than 30 days and must have a minimum of 20 Rapid rated live games played on Chess.com against at least 10 different opponents. The easiest way to accumulate the needed games is to join G/15+10 or G/30 live tournaments on the Chess.com live server. You must successfully complete the tournament by following the rules. You do not need to win any games, but must follow the rules, complete all the rounds, and play at least one game.

Swiss Tournaments

New players can sign up for our 3 round League Qualifier for Chess.com players. You must be a member of the Dan Heisman Learning Center to be included. Then go to slowchessleague.org and register to get started. You don’t have to win a game to qualify. Just follow the rules and complete the tournament.

Qualified league players can choose from:

SCL OTB Style - 3 Rounds in November

Swiss G/45+45 for Chess.com - 1  or 2 games per week

Swiss G/90+30 for Chess.com - 1 game per week

Signups for Swiss events will close at 22:00 League Time on Friday, November 1. Go to slowchessleague.org to get in on the fun.

30 Day Challenge!

New! You've got 30 days. Play as many slow chess games as you can. Earn an SCL Achievement for 10, 20, or even 30 games during the challenge. The November Challenge will begin on Friday, November 1 and end on Saturday, November 30. Only qualified league players can take on the Challenge. More on these new rules at our signups.

Want to get games, but don't want to try the Challenge? Then there's no need to sign up. You don't even need to be a qualified league player to play. Just use the My Tournament Games button on our front page to find links to forums for the Challenge players. Choose a player and post a reply in the forum to make offers of times to play.

Signups for the 30 Day Challenge will close at 22:00 League Time on Wednesday, October 30. Go to slowchessleague.org to get in on the fun.

Live Tournaments!

Live Tournaments are idled. But we encourage members to stay in shape by playing in Chess.com's G/30 tournaments starting every 4 hours.

Sponsored by the Dan Heisman Learning Center and the Slow Chess League.
