NSPDCL Season 2 Free Agent Team Formation
Greetings to all NSPDCL Participants
If you currently do not have a team and want to participate in Season 2 or are a team captain who has not sent me your lineup, please read this news post.
The beginning of Season 2 of the NSPDCL is approaching, and there are currently 30 Free Agents registered, and 5 full teams. Right now, there are 3 formats being considered, all depending on the amount of teams formed.
8 teams, 2 divisions, round-robin, top 2 in each division advance to playoffs
12 teams, 3 divisions, round-robin, top team in each division and 1 wildcard (top 2nd team in any division) advance to playoffs
10 teams, 2 divisions, pairings as follow:
1, 3, 5, 8, and 10 seeds are one division, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9 are the other.
January - Board 1s play all other board 1s in their division, board 2s play board 2s, etc.
February - Board 1s play all other board 2s in their division (not their teammates), board 3s play all board 4s in their division (not their teammates)
March - Board 1s play all other board 1s in the other division, board 2s play all board 2s in the other division, etc.
Top 4 total scoring teams play round-robin in playoffs. Tiebreaker is head-to-head score, then head-to-head score on boards 1-4 (if all drawn, lower seed advances)

Note: if you do not find a team, it is not guaranteed that you will be assigned a team, and it is also not guaranteed that your team will have active players.
