First Annual Oceanside Rapid

On June 29, 2024, the Oceanside Chess Club will be hosting the First Annual Oceanside Rapid chess tournament. The event will be held at the St. Marks Church, located 138 Hoylake Road West, Qualicum Beach. The format will be a 6-round unrated Swiss system. The time control will be 20 minutes total per side. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the tournament will conclude at 5 p.m. with the awards ceremony. Prizes will be determined by attendance for the first, second, third, and best-performing junior (14 and under). Entrance will be $20 per player. The tournament has a limited number of spots available, so  register  today!
