Welcome to ChessX. To maintain the integrity of our kingdom and the spirit of the game, all members are required to uphold the following laws. Failure to comply may result in exile from the club.

I. The Golden Rule: Pure Intelligence

In ChessX, we value the human mind. All moves must be your own.

No Engines: The use of Stockfish, Komodo, or any other chess engine during live play is strictly forbidden.

No Outside Help: Do not seek advice from friends, coaches, or "stronger" players while a game is in progress.

Database Usage: Live Games: No books or databases allowed.Daily Chess: You may use the Chess.com Opening Explorer or books, but never with engine evaluations turned on.

II. Combat Etiquette (Sportsmanship)

A ruler is only as noble as their conduct on the battlefield.

No Sandbagging: Intentionally losing to lower your rating is a violation of Chess.com policy and ChessX law.

Respect the Clock: Do not stall or "let the clock run out" when in a losing position. If the game is over, resign with dignity.

No Aborts: Frequent aborting of games to find specific opponents is discouraged.

III. The Royal Court (Community Conduct)

The ChessX chat and forums are for strategy and camaraderie, not conflict.

Anti-Harassment: No hate speech, sexism, or bigotry. We are a global empire of players.

No Public Accusations: If you suspect a fellow member of cheating, do not call them out in the club chat. Use the Chess.com Report Tool privately. Let the official moderators handle the investigation.

Spam & Recruitment: Do not use the ChessX wall to advertise other clubs without the Sovereign’s permission.

IV. Enforcement & Consequences

The ChessX moderators monitor all internal tournaments and matches.

First Offense: A formal warning and potential suspension from club tournaments.

Second Offense: Permanent ban from ChessX.

Fair Play Ban: If your account is closed by Chess.com for Fair Play violations, you will be automatically removed from ChessX.
