ONE WORLD League Multi Club Arena Season 2023

The ONE WORLD League Multi Club Arena Season 2023 will start tomorrow with the ONE WORLD League 24h Winter BLITZ Arena at 18:00 UTC / 19:00 CET.

In 2023 there will be three independent sets of Arenas:

• 24h Arenas with different time controls on 1st Fridays in each month
  most likely: BLITZ (3 | 2), (5 | 0), (5 | 2) and (5 | 5) • RAPID (15 | 10), (20 | 0), (10 | 5) and (10 | 0) • Chess960 (10 | 5) and (5 | 2) • BULLET (2 | 1)
  and a final Arena in Dezember with the most popular time control from the 11 previous Arenas.
• 2h BLITZ Arenas on 2nd Fridays in each month (5 | 2) and
• 3h RAPID Arenas on 4th Fridays in each month (10 | 5).

As there're still some technical difficulties these Arenas will have a modified scoring system: Ten best scoring players will receive points (as already in our 24h Arenas in 2022 – 1st: 20 pts, 2nd: 15 pts, 3rd: 12 pts, 4th: 10 pts, 5th: 8 pts, 6th: 6 pts, 7th: 4 pts, 8th: 3 pts, 9th: 2 pts, 10th: 1 pt) for annual rankings. The sum of these points will determine annual medalists for each of these three sets of Arenas. Annual club results will be determined by the sum of achieved gold (silver, bronze) medals.

Clubs and players with best results from all 36 scheduled Arenas will receive champions trophies: If needed, the result in the final 24h Arena in December will be tiebreaker.

All arenas will be reviewed once for FPV closures (not earlier than 25 days after the Arena and latest before sending challenges to the next arena in the same format). If FPV closures happened before this check, clubs won't be challenged to the following Arena, in case of repetition they won't be challenged to the next three following Arenas (one month break). If clubs wouldn't have received their medal without points from FPV closed account, medal won't be counted for the annual ranking.

In this forum links to the next upcoming arena will be posted: They will allow players to join these Arenas at any moment, which fits for them during the Arena. After arenas links will give you access to the complete results as shown by Chess.com and medals for clubs and players will be posted. For getting alerts about upcoming arenas, medals and overall standings, you only need to follow the forum (set a tick in the case near to the comment's field).
