Open rapid tournament

Wigan Chess Club have an open tournament on Thursday this week (15th August).  You are invited.  It is a Swiss style tournament with 15 minutes on the clock.  There will be five rounds.

This is suitable for everyone regardless of your standard of play.  After the first round you will be playing someone of a similar standard to yourself.  We really do have all levels of playing ability at the club.

There is no entry fee, no prize money and no trophy.  Just an evening of good chess with nice people in an informal atmosphere.

It will be held at St Jude’s Social Club, Poolstock Lane, Wigan, WN3 5JE.  Arrive by 7.30 for a 7.45 start.
