OSU Spring Tournament
Unrated OSU Chess Club Tournament
The chess club at OSU will host an unrated and unofficial Spring Tournament on May 29th from 9am-3pm at the Corvallis Riverfront Commemorative Plaza. There will be an hour break at noon for lunch.
Entry Fee = $5.00
It will be a 20 person tournament consisting of 2 teams of 10 with each group doing a round robin type system. There will be 9 rounds of round robin play and then 1 round to play for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. If not enough people sign up, then the time controls will be increased to make up for the loss or rounds. The time controls will be 15 min for each person, so 30 min for a round.
Point system:
Win = 1
Draw = 0.5
Loss = 0
Half of the proceeds will go to the club and the remaining half will be split among 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for $25, $15, $10 respectively.
First come first serve for the 20 spots so RSPV today.

This is an outside tournament and weather is a variable. If it rains then the tournament will be canceled. If it is canceled then there is of course no fee and you have an open Saturday.
