PCS Chess Hits 1-Year Mark

    PCS Chess has accomplished a lot in one year!

* 379 members from 25 elementary, 12 middle, and 13 high schools in Pinellas County

* 6 matches in the 20/20 Champions League against clubs in the USA, UK, and South Africa

* 6 friendly matches vs other clubs in NJ, CA, and UK

* 120 in-house tournaments

* A tee shirt design

* A sponsor (announcement is forthcoming)

    Also, a special shout-out to Chrisalona Liverspur who has participated in 100 tournaments & matches with us!  Probably the best thing about PCS Chess is that it provides a friendly place where anyone in Pinellas can meet to play chess.  Speaking of playing, we have a friendly K-12 match scheduled for Sat., April 3 at 3pm against Petts Wood (England) and a Champions League match (open to all PCS Chess members) scheduled for Sat., April 10 at 2:30 against Banbury Buccaneers (England).  BTW, Petts Wood wants to know how many students are playing, so if you plan to play on April 3, please let me (gavlonitis) know by March 31.
