Peace

It seems that all is not peaceful within the group.

First let me address who was added to the admin. I put out a notice and the people who responded and I had a task in mind I added them. Nothing more, nothing less!

If you have a skill-set you would like to add to the group and can me harmonious in utilizing it then let me know.

Now I would like to address the interesting topic of Nationalism. The Fourth of July is to celebrate the signing of the "Declaration of Independence." In fact most people seem to forget this. In my household we celebrate by reading the aformentioned document. If you have not read it I suggest you do. The Colonies did nothing more than break away from an unfair government. See below for first sentence of the document.

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

For those of you who do not know, I served in the U.S Army, (Sniper), and yet am at times ashamed of the behaviour of my Government. But, I am never ashamed of America. The beliefs that this nation was founded on are still true today, it just seems that the government has forgotten this and the people need to call them on it.

But, I digress my point here is that we, as buddhists, should endeavor to keep our comments, diatribes, discussions, and such to a respectful and polite manner. In my travels around the world I have learned one thing...

We are all humans and should respect each other.

So, please remember this and try and foster and feeling of community here and make this group a place for discussion and learning.
