Phoenix Chess League Thematic Team Match Competition (Open Ratings)!

Greetings Fellow Anna Muzychuk Fans,

I am pleased to announce that our club will compete in Season 1 of the open ratings thematic team match competition organized by the Phoenix Chess League!  This new league is planning to organize competitions that have a different character than those offered by other leagues.  Besides the thematic competition, they are also currently organizing a "Slow Chess" 7 day per move team match competition and a "Fast" Vote Chess 1-day per move competition.

Anyway, our division of the thematic team match competition includes the following clubs: Anna Muzychuk Fan Club, Bad Players Club, Bag End Club, Europe National Team, Fortaleza Chess, Scuola Italiana di Scacchi, The Italian Game, and The Nature Lovers Club.

Registration is underway for our club's Round 1 team match against Scuola Italiana di Scacchi.  The featured opening is the Caro-Kann Defense (1. e4 c6).  The games are scheduled to begin on August 3.  Please join the match and support our club!

Later in the season --- which has a total of 7 rounds --- the featured openings will include the Pirc Defense, Vienna Game, Queen's Indian Defense, Grunfeld Defense, London System, and Benoni Defense: Modern Variation.
