Possible Hawaii-Idaho Battle?

Lou, the gentleman who organizes Team Hawaii, has expressed a desire to initiate a team vs team challenge with Idaho on Chess.com.

The format is interesting.  It’s designed totally for efficiency.  This will not take much of anyone’s time.  Members of each team are “seated” across the boards from one another in rating order and two games are played with a color switch.  The time control is on the high end of the blitz spectrum at 9+2.  So we’re talking about a tournament that completes in less than half an hour!  We’re targeting Friday nights at 8pm MDT.  The first challenge could possibly take place on October 2.  We’re targeting the scholastic players, but we’re not excluding anybody.  The sweet spot is players in the U1600 range, but again we’re not excluding anybody.  Idaho needs about 6 or 7 players (5+backups).  This could be a cool opportunity to connect with players from a small agricultural state somewhat like ours, albeit 2700 miles away in the middle of the Pacific!

Please message me right away if you are interested or would like more details.  I plan on getting back to Lou with a thumbs-up/thumbs-down by Tuesday the 29th.
