Prodigy Program Placement Exam Ready
Chess.com University Members,
The placement exam for Chess.com University's Prodigy Program is now ready. There is only one exam for all the sections. However, the minimum score required to pass is different for each section.
Use this link to download the exam:
https://kairavacademydotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/prodigy-program-general-exam.pdf
You need to download it to your computer and then open the file. Otherwise the form areas won't work. Complete and return to kairavjoshi@chess.com (as an attachment) at least a week before you plan on joining the Prodigy Program.
Remember that not all students are required to take this exam. If you have an official over-the-board rating that we believe is valid, you may join the appropriate section without taking the exam. However, if you wish to join a section with a rating requirement higher than your official rating, you will need to complete the exam. I am able to waive this requirement too but chances are that I won't.
The sections that start on November 29th, 2014 (our official program launch date) are the 900 and under section and the 1200+ section. Those rated between 900 and 1200 are advised to join the 900 section unless if they perform beyond 1200-level on the placement exam.
The 1500-level section starts on January 10th, 2015.
Registration for the 900 and 1200 ELO sections of the Prodigy Program is open. See our detailed post from October to learn more:

Please sign up as soon as possible if you plan on joining our prodigy program. No long-term commitment is required. We are only accepting payment for the first month (December 2014). It's okay if your schedule is uncertain. All live lessons will be recorded so even if you don't attend live, you will be able to watch the recording later.
