If you have any puzzles which you want to contribute to the group, you can also do so by sending me a message. Every five puzzles will earn you a trophy and the credit will be yours alone.

This week's puzzles feature two puzzles which display the beautiful art of pinning, and believe me when I say it sure can hurt! The Normal puzzle is a battle between six pawns to promote into a Queen. Of course, some pawns will have to live up to their name (my condolences). The Hard and Very Hard puzzles are submitted by dinkylad, and are both stalemate puzzles. A change of puzzles is good, and hopefully, you can learn the correct way to stalemate in case it is required in your games.

PUZZLES FOR WEEK 19:

Very Easy

Aim: Material advantage

Easy

Aim: Material advantage

Normal

Aim: Material advantage

When I say "Material advantage", I actually mean promotion, and by no means an underpromotion. Here, White must strive to promote a pawn into Queen first. It's a battle of who gets the crown first. Meanwhile, the Kings will stay behind and watch the ensuing battle between six hot-blooded women who vie to win the men's hearts. Of course, brawn simply will not work; what you need are brains, and a strategy is needed. Can White win this?

Hard

Aim: Stalemate

Once again, another puzzle by dinkylad. And once again, a stalemate puzzle. Black is at the brink of destruction and about to lose any hopes of returning home with even a commendable prize (hey, it's a true story, check the game details.) However, White plays a silly move, which allows Black to go home with a hamper after all.

Very Hard
Aim: Stalemate
Okay, no more stalemate puzzles! This one, however, impressed me so much, I simply had to show it! Goldstein was a fool to allow this to happen, but no one can blame him. He, and only he, can blame himself! (You can be sure he did.....) Submitted by dinkylad, this puzzle should serve as a lesson to teach everyone how to stalemate the correct way. Enjoy....!

Have fun!
