It was an exciting fixture of events with people crowding into the Raburn Series Premier League chat for the first time. We had a total of 10 teams which means we had 20 players going at it today. Here were the seeds going into the tournament with respect to last-minute additions and subtractions.

In Round 1, @Leon_Likes_Chess and @NubbyCheeseking pulled a reverse sweep upset against @ShaoniHiya and @The_chess_snake with a score of 3-2. On another table, @Jegm1 and @sciencechimp2004 swept the Fremd duo of @koolperry and @arnavbatta 3-0.
In Round 2, many more matches. @Schachmasteo and @Gthangs as the number 1 seed took down @Leon_Likes_Chess and @NubbyCheeseking quite comfortably 3-0. @K-AgarwalMMII and @AnandFan1692 scrubbed past @stevis5 and @Typewriter44 3-1. @Everyfishknows and @TheCosmicWave defeated @Jegm1 and @sciencechimp2004 with the same scoreline. On the last board, @sapphireglacier and @GoPikachu pulled a 3-2 upset win over @Sengdao and @MakeHell_Tal.
In Round 3, an unfortunate event occured. @sapphireglacier had to go to their lesson. Tsk tsk. @GoPikachu was not happy. Thus, they had to forfeit their semi-final match to the SDO pair of @Everyfishknows and @TheCosmicWave. On the other semifinal, @Schachmasteo and @Gthangs continued their sweeping form with another 3-0 display against @K-AgarwalMMII and @AnandFan1692.
In the final, it was the dominant pair of @Schachmasteo and @Gthangs that were crowned Champions over @Everyfishknows and @TheCosmicWave. @Everyfishknows was so amazed, they had to ask in the chat, "is Nf6 d5 sacking the knight bughouse theory?"
