Report Card in Game Review
Hi all!
We released a new Game Review feature (web-only for now) called Report Card. At the end of your game, Coach will assess you and your opponent in a couple different ways. Grading is assessed against other players at your rating at the time control of the game you played. Meaning a chess master would have to play much better than a beginner, and you would have to play better in a rapid game than a bullet game, to receive the same grade.
- Game Rating: Coach will tell you what rating level you played the game at. For example, if you’re rated 1000 and play really well, your grade may be 1400. If you play really poorly, then your grade may be 600.
- Game Phase Grades: Coach will grade your play in each “phase” of the game: opening, middlegame, and endgame. Your grade will be a move classification glyph, ranging from blunder to brilliant. Hover over the glyph to see your accuracy in that game phase. NOTE: If one player was completely winning for too much of a Game Phase, then it won’t be graded.
As always, would love to hear your feedback and any bugs you find. Also, let us know if you feel the grading is too harsh or too lenient. Thanks and enjoy!
