Sacrifice,Sacrifice,Sacrifice

Shane and I met in the the final round of a USCF chess tournament today. Chess.com didn't like it very much but we had a good time and it drew a lot of attention for being a dramatic and high stress game. Let me know what ya'll think.

1) Sacrifice 1: Bishop for Pawn Move 15. Realistically, its a bishop for two pawns but still a loss in material.  Chess.com likes this move but doesn't like the mating net that I missed afterwards.  Consider what my objective here is and why its worth the sacrifice in material. Make sure you are looking at the entire board. I got too fixated on the top right quadrant.

2) Missed Mate: Go to move 17. I was able to keep the pressure up and come out of this with a decent position, however, I missed a great opportunity. Hint: Look at the entire board. I tried to implement a similar idea later with the rook sitting on the f-file.

3) Go to move 26. Note that by this point I am now up a point instead of down a point in material. The attack Shane is about to put together chess.com determines to be a pivotal mistake. Personally, I found it disruptive and uncomfortable. I actually felt it helped him get back into the game.

4) Move 30. In my head I was taking away yet another square from the knight. In reality, the night is still stuck due to the pinned bishop. Consider why chess.com wants me to push the G pawn instead. This misstep gives Shane his first good opportunity in a while for counterplay. Consider why I do not push the G pawn at this point and why I imagine, Shane hoped that I would.

5) Move 37. I have to be extremely careful here. See if you know why.

6) Move 40. This idea is about to end the game. Chess.com hates the way I am about to do this but I stand behind my thought process here. I am setting up a position to sacrifice 11(two rooks and a pawn) points for 10(2 pawns, a rook, and a bishop). Chess .com wants me to trade 6(rook and pawn) for 6(rook and pawn).

a) what is my goal here?

b) would you have done the same or played the line chess.com wants me to play?

7) Move 43.RG6+ > Black Resigns.
