Saturday Events Experiment

We are going to start running some Saturday events, as discussed in the following topic:

Our first event with be on March 3rd starting at 11 Pacific, 2 Eastern. In honor of the date, and the upcoming 3rd anniversary of the USCF events on Chess.com, the time control will be 3|3. Initially, sign up for the events will only be in the website interface, at least until the apps support club created events directly (our current events are scheduled on the back-end so do not have that limitation).

Future time controls will be decided based on suggestions from club members and we will likely do a rotating schedule of time controls, to get something for almost everyone. If you would like to provide input, please post in the following topic:

If we can keep interest and attendance at a high level, we'll will look at keeping Saturday events. There may be some minor changes in things, as we move forward, but we will have to see how things work out.
