SCHEVALIERCHESS COULD THREATEN YDTD'S REIGN IN LETS CASTLE
After a lot of coaxing from Let's Castle reporters the number 1 ranked player in the club for thirty consecutive weeks has entered the 2023 Independence Day Tournament. His name is SchevalierChess! He hails from Hungary, and this will be SchevalierChess' first Let's Castle tournament ever. He is more of a multiple day match player. He was recruited to play for the club in the Team Match Championship Leage where he is performing phenomenally with three wins in three games so far! Those matches are 3 day per move games. SchevalierChess however is not used to 24 hour per move tournaments, which is pretty much what Lets Castle is based on when it comes to tournament play. The Hungarian will have to be mindful of his clock! This should be interesting as club champ Ydtd has become disillusioned with the competition that surrounds him. He has vowed that as long as he is in the club no one will win an LC title and so far, his words have proven to be prophetic. Everyone will be looking forward to the match up of Ydtd vs SchevalierChess! The way the format shapes up these two can only meet up in the finals as there are two groups and only 1 can advance. This means Ydtd would have to make it out of group2 since he would be the second seed with a rating of 1823 and SchevalierChess would have to make it out of group 1 as he is the number 1 seed with a rating of 1911! The Hungarian is the favorite going into Friday's tournament. It's been a long time since Ydtd has not been a favorite going into a tournament but I don't think that phases Ydtd as we have yet to get a quote from him about the addition of the latest threat to his reign. If I know Ydtd the quote drought will end soon but the bigger question is could this be the end of Ydtd's dominance???
