If it wasn't enough for the Saint Louis Arch Bishops to beat the Montreal Chessbrahs in double overtime in the semifinals last year, now they've taken the Chessbrahs' best player!

This year Fabiano Caruana will be representing the Arch Bishops, and the Chessbrahs are scrambling to find a new Board One.

According to Arch Bishops manager Mike Kummer, St. Louis also has a surprise weapon on board four, but they are keeping the identity of this player shrouded in secrecy: "The Saint Louis Arch Bishops are delighted to have Fabiano leading the team this year. He once again proved that he is a winner at any time control with his triumph over Grischuk [at the Champions Showdown in early November].

"With Fabiano manning board one, Daro and Yaro on boards two and three, and a world champion on board four, 2018 is gearing up to be another banner year for Saint Louis."

Making things even more interesting is that the Chessbrahs and Arch Bishops are in the same division this season. This looks like the start of a spirited rivalry between these two powerhouse teams.
