Spring Chess Tournament (Date moved to Sunday)

Due to a conflict with the Corvallis Saturday Market we will be pushing the tournament to Sunday (May 16th). Sorry for any inconvenience. Below are the complete tournament details.

The tournament is Sunday, May 16th from 9am-3pm (with a 12-1 lunchbreak). We will be playing outdoors at the Corvallis Riverfront Commemorative Plaza (Monroe & 1st). In the event of rain we will move to Weniger Hall (Monroe & 23rd). Everyone is welcome to participate. The entry fee is $5 for those who preregister, $7 for day-of registration.

IMPORTANT! We may have an equipment shortage so please bring a chess clock if you have!

Time controls are G/30*. Score sheets are provided however no one is required to record moves. Please remember to be respectful during games. Be polite & move a piece once you've touched it. Avoid talking about a game-in-progress within earshot of the players.

*G/30 means 'game in 30 minutes', each player is given 30 minutes to complete the game. If your time runs out you lose! A G/30 game could last a maximum of 60 minutes (30 for each player)
