Chess.com's Premium membership includes auto-timeout protection, which automatically activates vacation mode for daily games. This feature prevents losses due to timeouts.
How does vacation mode work?
- When a Premium member has less than 90 minutes left in a daily game, vacation mode activates automatically.
- This pauses the game.
- To turn on or off vacation status, you can:
- Click Settings at the bottom left of any Chess.com page.
- Select Daily Chess from the left-hand menu.
- Toggle the Pause My Games option.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- Click Settings at the bottom left of any Chess.com page.
