Hey everyone,
I was reflecting on a game I played weeks ago, today. I often have poor days, as I'm sure we all do. The days where we are playing and we're not even sure why we made the move in the first place. This game was during this day, and I was holding onto one move, and waiting till I had the chance to execute it. Here's the game, and pay attention to my Queen, and what my plan was:
Watching the pawn structure, and how White was being so aggressive, leaving my Queen there was my only bet. Luckily I was lucky that White over committed, and failed to see the mating line I pointed out. Don't always resign when the situation gets bad, but try to find the creative solution. Please note this next game, which is titled, "The Peruvian Immortal":
This sacrifice was amazing. To find this checkmate in this losing position, I was amazed. These games make me want to salvage my hardships when I'm not playing my best. Chess is about creativity, and finding solutions.
Hope you all enjoy, and happy playing.
Cheers,
- P.
