Club Giveaway Update

The final challenge in our club giveaway has now begun!

First, an explanation.

The giveaway involves gifting ownership of this club, which currently has 79 members, to one lucky person on May 1st (Note: the date has been changed to May 3rd). To decide who gets it, a wheel will be spun with all of the members in the giveaway club on it.
But there's a catch. Certain people will have their names placed on the wheel multiple times. Another challenge has already finished, with @BlueFireFox12 receiving a whopping 27 extra wheel spots. A big thanks to everyone who participated!

Now we move onto the next and final challenge...

The challenge will consist of a series of in-club 3|2 blitz arenas throughout the coming week.

The winner of each blitz arena will receive 15 extra wheel spots. The rest of the wheel spots will be gifted as follows:

1st - 15 extra wheel spots
2nd - 10 extra wheel spots
3rd - 5 extra wheel spots
4th - 3 extra wheel spots
5th - 2 extra wheel spots
6th - 1 extra wheel spots

These are the arenas. They will each last 24 hours, with different starting times to provide fairness as much as possible across time zones.

Arena 1 - Tuesday 00:00 GMT.

Arena 2 - Wednesday 06:00 GMT.

Arena 3 - Thursday 12:00 GMT.

Arena 4 - Friday 18:00 GMT.

If one or more of them is cancelled, all players who joined the arena beforehand will be given 5 extra wheel spots. Note that screenshot evidence may be required.

Plans for the Future of the Club

Now we'll look at my plans for this club, moving onwards and upwards!

Starting next month, each week on Monday, and announcement will be posted, giving a recap of the week gone by, and a schedule for the week ahead.

From now on, our weekly schedule will look a bit like this:

As you can (probably) see, we will now be focusing more on Daily Matches, rather than Votechess. Because the Club Daily Leaderboard is highly competitive, we will need as many of you possible to join each week.
Note that there will mostly be one U800 match, one U1200 match, and one 1200+ match, so that players of all Elo get a fair game.

There will, of course, sometimes be games outside of this schedule, mostly for multi-club competitions. These will also be announced each week.

As well, we will be hosting in-club arenas on Wednesdays and Fridays. On Wednesday, we will have a 24-hour, 3 | 2 blitz arena. On Friday, we will alternate each week between a 24-hour 10 | 0 rapid and 1 | 0 bullet arena.

Now, you might be wondering, what is the mysterious "BHB™" on Sunday...

Sunday Funday is Back?!

And finally, onto the big news. Some of you may remember the multi-club arena series, Sunday Funday. A month or two ago, participation levels weren't very high and a couple of other things happened to prevent some of the arenas from happening, so I temporarily suspended the series.

Now, we are back in full force, with the new series, Black Hole Blitz™! It's very similar to Sunday Funday, but with a few major changes...

• 3 | 2 format instead of 5 | 2.
• Many more clubs participating.
• Custom trophies!
• More, bigger cheers prizes!

The first arena will start on May 3rd, and I hope to see many of you there!
