Hey Guys,
This should be my last post. I'm in class, and was reviewing a game that I'm currently playing, and a blunder that I made early on. I'm going to post the move order I did, and then I'm going to post a puzzle of what I found upon reviewing. Let me know if you solved it!
Now below, try to figure out what I should have done:
See how the sacrifice opened up the knight to take more material, not to mention after Nxg3+, if my opponent were to play Kg1, I could follow up with Nxe2+, then they move their King, and I could play Nxc1, capturing the Bishop too.
This is a tournament with a 2 day time limit. Why I rushed it, I'm not sure. I often play chess in class, and when my teacher walks by, I have to close it. Not the smartest way to play.
Hope this helps, and seriously, take your time. Unless it's blitz, but that's whole different ball game.
Cheers,
- P.
(I forgot to add in the Ra1 for white in the puzzle, which is only necessary if you're going in depth with how things could go. The main focus was the sacrifice)
