Target: 4.5/9! My Rematch at the Continental Women’s Championship
🇵🇪 Big Announcement: Competing in the 17th Continental Women's Championship!
Hi everyone! I have some exciting news to share with the club. Next week, I’ll be heading to Peru to compete in the 17th Continental Women’s Chess Championship of the Americas 2026!
The tournament runs from March 30th to April 6th and features the top female players from across North, Central, and South America. I'll be joining a strong contingent of eight players representing the USA.
🎯 My Goal
I played in this event two years ago in the Dominican Republic and finished with a solid 4/9. This time around, my goal is to push past that and score at least 4.5/9 or better! I’ve faced some of these opponents before, and I’m ready again to compete!
⚙️ Tournament Format
- Format: 9 Rounds (Swiss)
- Time Control: G/90 + 30-second increment from move one.
- Location: Lima, Peru (1 hour behind EST / 2 hours ahead of PST).
